I can't wait to go see
Repo! The Genetic Opera! I can never resist a good musical, and I've already heard and enjoyed the
soundtrack to this one. Another thing I can't resist is actors I like who turn out to be fantastic singers as well. Anthony Stewart Head plays Nathan Wallace / Repo Man. I already knew he had an amazing voice from watching the musical episode of Buffy, but his passionate performance on the Repo soundtrack is simply breathtaking. I can't wait to see him in the movie.
Here's a short summary if you don't know what the movie's about:
"In the not so distant future, an epidemic of organ failures devastates the planet. Out of the tragedy, a savior emerges: GeneCo, a biotech company that offers organ transplants, for a price. Those who miss their payments are scheduled for repossession and hunted down by the Repo Men."
It's actually much more than that, so if you want to know more I'd suggest reading the description on
this page. I'm a little worried about seeing the movie because I don't handle gore or scary things well at all, but I think it will be worth it. Besides, someone who saw an early screening said that the gore is more cartoony than realistic, so that comforted me somewhat.
Anyway, I already have several of the songs memorized and they've been stuck in my head all day for the past few days, so now I basically have to see the movie. I can't wait!

If you don't mind tons of spoilers,
this blog gives an excellent review of the soundtrack. Here's what they had to say about Anthony Head:
In fact, it’s Head who is the standout performer on this album. “Buffy” fans will remember Head displaying his vocal abilities on a few episodes, including the musical episode “Once More with Feeling.” Even though every performer on this album does an exceptional job, it is Head that most people should pay attention to.
